Our experience in crypto led us to develop our own crypto recording sheets, which we fill in by hand, make back-up copies, and store in folders. 

Some people use notebooks to record all their sensitive crypto information, with one for daily use and 2 other notebooks, acting as back-up copies, stored somewhere safe.

We found it much easier to update and organize these recording sheets as they inevitably changed or got replaced. (Also a folder is a lot harder to lose than a notebook!)
