What is Bitfinex?

Bitfinex was one of the first cryptocurrency exchanges, founded in 2012 Bitfinex lists almost 200 different tokens.

The exchange is notable for its close relationship with the stablecoin Tether. They also appear to have no official offices although some say Hong Kong, Taiwan or the British Virgin Islands.

Note: The platform is blocked for US citizens and residents.
